Greetings, today’s post is a review of some of the “darker designs” that were worn at the recent Met. The stars which attended were fully in line with the suggested theme to take their fashion and jewelry styles towards the punkier side at this year’s Costume Institute Gala, which took place this past Monday in New York and marked the opening of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s “Punk: Chaos to Couture” fashion exhibition. Some wore their best and others, I’d like to just not comment on. As can be seen below, many of the celebrities brought their ‘A’ game from some of the best jewelry designers.
While many stars pushed the style envelope towards some edgier designs–including spider rings, spike studs and ear cuffs–some played it safe, keeping with the red carpet tradition of donning drop diamond earrings and even Art Deco-inspired pieces. Darker metals and black diamonds played a very prevalent role in jewelry for the night, which was in line with the suggested theme.
These wonderful hand picked designs were just a few of the numerous dark and gothic designs worn at this past Monday’s costume gala. All unique and a magnificent display for both designers and celebrities fortunate enough to wear them.
As always, Live,Life, Lamour,
